Taihang Honggu: Scenic Beauty and a Rich Cultural Heritage

2026-08-18

On August 10, the Taihang Honggu National Forest Park was a picturesque sight. Located in Qinshui County, Jincheng City, the park features vast forests, deep valleys, layered peaks, and babbling streams and pools—resembling a secret ink-wash landscape hidden among the Taihang Mountains. Many tourists wandered through the valleys, taking in the stunning natural scenery.

Jing Hao, a master painter of the Five Dynasties period, once lived in seclusion here, observing ancient pines and extraordinary peaks while capturing the myriad forms of the landscape in his art; walking through this area feels like stepping into one of his paintings. The Taihang Honggu Valley seamlessly blends the spiritual beauty of its landscapes, the cultural heritage of calligraphy and painting, and its revolutionary legacy. Visitors capture the peaks, forests, streams, and cultural landmarks through their lenses, preserving the magnificent natural beauty of this land and the echoes of history.
