Recently, the Youth Talent Symposium “Youth Revitalizes Jin, Guangdong Attracts Talent,” organized by the Jincheng Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, was held at Sun Yat-sen University. As a key component of the “Shanxi: Where the Scenery is Best” talent promotion event in Guangzhou, the symposium was highly anticipated by students studying in Guangdong.
During the symposium, representatives from the Municipal Party Committee Organization Department, the Municipal Youth League Committee, and Sun Yat-sen University's Career Center systematically interpreted Jincheng's talent policies. They detailed measures such as housing support, entrepreneurial incentives, living services, innovation platform development, and technology commercialization. Attendees also received comprehensive updates on Jincheng's initiatives, including its university student internship and training bases and youth hostels. Participants collectively viewed a promotional video showcasing Jincheng's urban charm, immersing themselves in its picturesque landscapes and ancient architectural heritage. Four student representatives from Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, Jinan University, and Southern Medical University actively shared insights based on their academic strengths and career aspirations. They exchanged views on internship experiences, job suitability requirements, and long-term development prospects, fostering a lively atmosphere of discussion.
In recent years, the Municipal Youth League Committee has deepened city-university collaboration by implementing a comprehensive talent strategy. This includes internship programs, the “Returning Talents” service stations, and youth hubs, significantly enhancing the quality and effectiveness of youth talent development. Simultaneously, anchored by the dual goals of “making Jincheng more youth-friendly” and “empowering youth to achieve more in Jincheng,” the city is comprehensively advancing the development of a youth-friendly city. It focuses on addressing young people's urgent needs and challenges, supporting those who come to or reside in Jincheng to establish roots, start businesses, settle down, and achieve success. Municipal departments are refining inclusive policies across areas including housing, innovation and entrepreneurship, elderly care and childcare, physical and mental health, cultural services, and quality of life.
