Jincheng: Lantern Festival Folklore Exhibition Lights Up the Festive Atmosphere

Yellow River News Network Jincheng (Reporter Peng Xin) February 12, the first day of the first month of the Lunar Calendar, Jincheng City, Yangdian Sports Plaza is bustling with excitement, “Taihang Mountain over the New Year Joyful Lantern Festival” Jincheng City 2025 Folklore Exhibition activities officially launched, bringing a wonderful cultural feast for the public and tourists.

It is understood that, in order to further enrich the supply of cultural and tourism products to meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the masses, Jincheng culture and tourism carefully planned the Lantern Festival series of activities, including three night tour of Jincheng light appreciation line, folkloric exhibitions and non-heritage show. Six counties (cities, districts) also carried out synchronized boutique lantern appreciation line, dragon and lion dance, float parade, play music story, rowing dry boat, stilt walking and other colorful Lantern Festival folk activities.

Activities at the scene, traditional folk performances were staged, attracting many people and tourists stopped to watch. Twelve folklore teams from six counties (cities and districts) of Jincheng City gathered together to bring the audience two national, three provincial and three municipal non-legacy projects, showing the unique charm of local folklore in Jincheng City.

The event was organized by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Jincheng Municipal Committee, Jincheng City Culture and Tourism Bureau and Jincheng City Sports Bureau, and hosted by Jincheng City Museum of Culture, the Propaganda Department of the Committee of the counties (cities and districts) and the Culture and Tourism Bureau of the counties (cities and districts). The show not only enriched the public's holiday life, let everyone feel the charm of traditional culture in the joy, but also for the first world “non-heritage” version of the Spring Festival added bright colors.
